From: MElsant@aol.com Date: Mon 1 Apr 2002 Subject: Support Israel's fight against Arafat's terrorism in Judea and Samaria! (VIPAC) --part1_120.de0b8c8.29da6f59_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Dear Mr. President: On 4/1/02 you said: ``There will never be peace so long as there is terror and all of us must fight terror. I'd like to see Chairman Arafat denounce the terrorist activities that are taking place the constant attacks.'' Mr. President your clear implication is that Arafat is included in the "all of us" who must fight terror. How can you say such a thing when Arafat has been the source of so much terror for so long? Worse than that implication is the clear message of the last part of the above quote. If Arafat denounces the terrorist activities then he will have fulfilled your demand and can claim your support even if those attacks continue. I can just imagine ten days from now when Israel has deployed its army and is intensely patrolling the streets of every Arab town in Judea Samaria and Gaza. The current torrent of suicide bombing will have diminished to a trickle. Arafat will then call for a "cease fire" because he will have nothing left to fire with after Israel has dismantled his terrorist infrastructure. He will even denounce terrorism. You will then demand that Israel withdraw from the towns of Judea and Samaria that it has liberated from Arafat's reign of terror because Arafat will have met the conditions you have set for him in your above statement and in many similar statements coming from your spokesmen. You would not suggest such a scenario for the Taliban or Al Qaeda. Could Bin Laden perhaps go on Al Jazeera TV tomorrow declare a cease fire with America--followed by a pro-forma denunciation of terrorism--and then have you immediately withdraw all American troops from Afghanistan? I would hope not. Please demand from Arafat not empty words but precisely what you demand from his brother terrorist Bin Laden--surrender or die. Instead of criticizing Israel for the deaths of innocent Palestinians congratulate them on their elimination of Islamic terrorists and for making the world safer for all freedom-loving people everywhere. Instead of voting for UN resolutions demanding Israeli withdrawal from Ramallah so that safe havens for terrorism will be established ask Israel to permanently annex all of Judea Samaria and Gaza so that it can intensely patrol the streets of the Arab cities there in perpetuity and thus be able pre-empt future attempts by Arafat's terrorists to release new waves of suicide bombers.
