Sender: vipac-letters-bounces@vipac.org Errors-To: vipac-letters-bounces@vipac.org Dear Mr. President: On January 11 in Ramallah PLO leader Mahmoud Abbas said at an annual Fatah public meeting that: "We have a legitimate right to direct our guns against the Israeli occupation. It is forbidden to use these guns against Palestinians." "Direct our guns against the Israeli occupation" means killing Israelis. "It is forbidden to use these guns against Palestinians" means Abbas has absolutely no intention to use lethal force against Hamas despite its ongoing deadly terror campaign including rocket fire against Israel. Your administration has recently given 86 million dollars worth of guns and bullets to Abbas and his PLO. If you are serious about fighting and winning America's war for survival against Islamist terror you will stop sending arms to Abbas who has now publicly declared common cause with the Islamist terrorists of Hamas. Instead when Secretary of State Rice visits Israel on her upcoming trip to the Middle East let her proclaim an end of U.S. aid to all organizations including the PLO that fail to oppose the ongoing murderous terror campaign of Hamas. Anything short of this would be an acceptance by your administration of the inevitable use of American supplied weapons to murder Israelis. Sincerely |
