From: melsant@vipac.org Date: Fri 16 Feb 2007 Subject: [Vipac-letters] Support Israel: US Aid to Palestinians Promotes Sender: vipac-letters-bounces@vipac.org Errors-To: vipac-letters-bounces@vipac.org Support Israel: US Aid to Palestinian Arabs Promotes Terror Dear Mr. President: During there recent visit to Israel the New York City Council Speaker and 10 other Council members experienced an Arab terror attack against a medical clinic in the Israeli city of Sderot. Sderot is a city of 20000 people that borders on the Gaza Strip. For the past year and a half since Israel?s unilateral removal of the Jewish residents of Gaza Sderot has been under almost daily artillery attack. Our country would not tolerate such attacks against our own cities yet your administration is sending millions of dollars of military aid to the Palestinian Arab terror Authority. Such aid is in opposition to your Administration?s policy of promoting democracy in the region. Supporting a terrorist regime bent on destroying a democratic ally Israel is not the way to bring peace to the world. Despite years of negotiations for peace the Palestinian Arabs have been unable and unwilling to stop terror attacks against Israel. Suicide murder in Eilat and rockets in Sderot aid to the Palestinian Arabs does nothing less than encourage them to continue their assault against Israel. I urge you to end all aid to the Palestinian Arabs. Respectfully yours |
