From: melsant@vipac.org Date: Mon 27 Aug 2007 Subject: [Vipac-letters] Support Israel like Rudy Sender: vipac-letters-bounces@vipac.org Errors-To: vipac-letters-bounces@vipac.org Dear Mr. President: The current front runner for your party's nomination for the next president of the United States is Rudolph Giuliani. In the September edition of Foreign Affairs magazine Mr Giuliani makes the following point: "Too much emphasis has been placed on brokering negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians -- negotiations that bring up the same issues again and again. It is not in the interest of the United States at a time when it is being threatened by Islamist terrorists to assist the creation of another state that will support terrorism." (www.foreignaffairs.org/20070901faessay86501/rudolph-giuliani/toward-a-realistic-peace.html) Mr. Giuliani is the Republican front runner because his policies particularly regarding the Middle East and America's war for survival against Islamic terror have more support among the American electorate than any other Republican including you Mr. President. Mr. President why not join Mr. Giuliani in opposing a PLO state and negotiations leading to a PLO state right now? Why not insist that the PLO must arrest RIGHT NOW the terrorists among themselves rather than insist that Israel must release the PLO terrorists it has already captured? Why not insist that the PLO must establish RIGHT NOW additional checkpoints of their own to stop the terrorists among themselves rather than insist that Israel dismantle the life-saving checkpoints it has already established? And why not insist that the Jewish State of Israel's claim of sovereignty for all of Jerusalem must be unequivocally accepted by the PLO before any other territorial issues are discussed? In short Mr. President why not join the mainstream Americans who want to see our country win our war for survival against Islamic terror and end your support for a PLO state that as Mr. Giuliani said will just be "another state that will support terrorism" against America and our allies? Sincerely |
