Dear Mr. President:
It’s time to get on with life in the Middle East. The perpetual Arab
refugee problem in the Middle East must be put to rest. An article dated
May 26 1968 in the Los Angeles Times clearly explains the World’s
hypocrisy regarding the Jews and Israel.
“The Jews are a peculiar people: things permitted to other nations are
forbidden to the Jews. Other nations drive out thousands even millions of
people and there is no refugee problem. Russia did it. Poland and
Czechoslovakia did it. Turkey threw out a million Greeks and Algeria a
million Frenchmen. Indonesia threw out heaven knows how many Chinese – and
no one says a word about refugees.
But in the case of Israel the displaced Arabs have become eternal
refugees. Everyone insists that Israel must take back every single Arab.”
We must continue to repeat to the World: There are no more Arab refugees.
The Arabs who grew up in Jordan Lebanon and Syria among other countries
are citizens of those countries and not refugees from Palestine. Curiously
Syria Lebanon and Jordan were part of Palestine. It’s difficult to be a
refugee from a place where you are living.
I urge you to stop aid to the Palestinian Arabs. The aid going to the
eternal refugees is being used to subvert democracy and freedom throughout
