Subject: [Vipac-letters] Support Israel and USA against PLO/Al-Qaeda Terror!
Dear Mr. President:
There have been widespread reports of the massive emergency military aid
you have been sending to Lebanon over the last few days.
This urgent airlift of US arms has been necessary because the Al-Qaeda
terrorists in the PLO-administered camp of Nahr el-Bared near Tripoli are
attacking the Lebanese Army. Your attempt to help the embattled Lebanese
Army is appropriate. But your support for a PLO-administered state in
Gaza which would only be another haven for Al Qaeda terrorists is not.
Al-Qaeda terrorists found a secure base in the PLO camp near Tripoli and
thousands of Palestinian Arabs remain there during the current fighting as
willing "human shields" to protect them because there is a strong bond
that unites Al-Qaeda and the Palestinian Arabs. They both seek the
destruction of the United States of America and Israel. This was most
dramatically demonstrated by the shocking internationally televised images
of Palestinian Arabs dancing in the streets and handing out candy to their
children in celebration of the 3000 Americans killed on 9/11. It is only
natural then that such kindred evil spirits as the PLO and Al-Qaeda should
form symbiotic relationships leading to more death and destruction as they
are currently doing in Nahr el-Bared near Tripoli in Lebanon.
A PLO state in Gaza and/or the West Bank would only lead to greater death
and destruction and greater danger to America by providing more havens
for Al-Qaeda terrorists. It would be a repeat of the tragedy we are
currently witnessing in Nahr el-Bared but on a much larger scale. Please
Mr. President on this Memorial Day as America recalls the sacrifices of
its honored dead over the generations in its wars for freedom and
democracy please declare an end to your support for a PLO state. That
will honor the memory of America's past heroes in the most meaningful
way--to insure that fewer American heroes in the future will be lost to
